Website Terms & Disclaimer

Important information about using this website and arranging Kettering Podiatry services.

Last reviewed: 14 August 2026

1. About these terms

These terms apply to use of the Kettering Podiatry website. They also explain important points about enquiries and appointments. By using the website, you agree to use it lawfully and not to interfere with its security, availability or operation.

The website is operated for Kettering Podiatry by Suzanne O’Riordan, an HCPC-registered podiatrist (registration CH32540) and member of the Royal College of Podiatry (membership number 31024). Kettering Podiatry is a trading name used by Suzanne O’Riordan. Correspondence address: 75 Scott Road, Kettering, Northamptonshire, NN16 9JY (not a clinic or appointment location). Telephone: 07788 798130. Email: info@kettering-podiatry.co.uk.

2. Website information is not medical advice

The website provides general information about private podiatry, home visits, care-home services and common foot concerns. It is not a substitute for an individual clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment plan or advice from a GP or another appropriate healthcare professional.

Descriptions of treatments indicate services that may be available; they do not mean that a particular treatment will be appropriate for every patient. Treatment depends on medical history, current presentation, consent and Suzanne’s clinical findings at the appointment. No result or treatment outcome is promised or guaranteed.

3. Emergencies and urgent concerns

Kettering Podiatry is not an emergency medical service, and the website forms are not monitored for emergencies. Use NHS 111 for urgent medical guidance and call 999 for a life-threatening emergency.

Suzanne may sometimes be able to accommodate an urgent same-day foot-care visit within her working day. This depends on availability, location and whether a podiatry home visit is suitable. An urgent appointment is not confirmed until it has been agreed directly.

4. Enquiries and appointments

Submitting a website form, leaving a message or asking a relative, carer or care-home representative to make contact does not create or confirm an appointment. Kettering Podiatry will confirm availability, the patient’s location, the nature of the concern, suitability for a home visit, the applicable price and any practical access arrangements.

Appointments are offered in Kettering and selected surrounding towns and villages. All areas listed on this website are covered in principle. Exact availability, travel arrangements and access requirements are confirmed during enquiry and booking. Kettering Podiatry may decline or rearrange an appointment where the requested service falls outside the service offered, where safe access cannot be provided or where an appropriate assessment cannot be completed.

For care-home visits, staff or representatives should help arrange suitable access, privacy, relevant consent and accurate information for each resident. Group bookings are based on the total number of residents receiving podiatry treatment during one prearranged visit. The arrangements and any group discount must be discussed and agreed directly during enquiry or booking.

5. Patient information and responsibilities

Patients, relatives and representatives should provide accurate and relevant information when requested, including current medication, allergies, medical conditions and recent changes that may affect treatment. Detailed or sensitive medical information should not be sent through the general website enquiry form.

Please provide a suitable, well-lit area, a supportive chair and enough room for Suzanne to work safely. Parking, entry instructions, pets, mobility needs and the presence of a relative or carer should be mentioned when the visit is arranged.

6. Prices and payment

The applicable appointment fee is discussed and agreed during enquiry or booking before the visit is confirmed. Kettering Podiatry does not advertise a fixed fee. Any travel arrangement, supplement, care-home group arrangement or discount will also be discussed and agreed directly. Fees must not be assumed from old website material, third-party listings or previous appointments.

Current payment methods are bank transfer and cash. Any payment deadline, bank details or receipt arrangements will be confirmed directly. Patients should not send bank or card information through the general website form.

7. Cancellation and rearrangement

Please give at least 48 hours’ notice if an appointment needs to be cancelled or rearranged. Any cancellation fee and any exception are considered individually, taking account of the circumstances.

Where a cancellation fee is considered appropriate, its amount and collection will be explained directly. An exception or waiver may be agreed in individual circumstances but should not be assumed. If Suzanne must cancel or rearrange an appointment, reasonable efforts will be made to notify the patient or representative and offer another time.

This appointment policy does not remove any cancellation or other consumer rights that apply by law. Where statutory cooling-off or cancellation information is required for a distance or off-premises contract, that information should be provided separately as part of the final booking process. See the FAQs for the current summary.

8. Consent and treatment decisions

Valid consent is required before treatment. A patient may ask questions or withdraw consent. If a representative is involved, treatment will only proceed where consent and decision-making arrangements are appropriate. Suzanne may stop, postpone or decline treatment where it would not be safe, clinically appropriate or within the service offered.

9. Professional scope and referrals

Suzanne provides podiatry services within her professional scope. Existing orthotics may be reviewed, and biomechanical or multidisciplinary referral may be recommended where necessary. If a concern requires care outside the service offered, Suzanne may recommend contact with a GP, NHS service, specialist podiatrist or another healthcare professional.

Any referral recommendation is based on the information and findings available at the time. Patients remain responsible for seeking urgent help when symptoms worsen or when advised to contact another service.

10. Privacy and website forms

Personal information submitted through this website will be handled in accordance with the Privacy Policy. The general enquiry form should contain only the information needed for an initial response. Do not use it to send detailed clinical records, payment information or emergency messages.

11. Website availability, accuracy and changes

Reasonable care is taken to keep the website clear and accurate, but information may change and uninterrupted access cannot be guaranteed. Pages may be corrected, updated, suspended or withdrawn without notice. Appointment availability, service areas, prices and treatment suitability must always be confirmed directly.

Kettering Podiatry is not responsible for a decision made solely from general website content instead of obtaining appropriate individual advice. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits responsibility where it would be unlawful to do so, including professional duties or statutory consumer rights.

12. External links

Links to the HCPC register, Royal College of Podiatry directory, NHS services or other third-party websites are provided for convenience and verification. Kettering Podiatry does not control third-party content, security, availability or privacy practices and is not responsible for changes made by those sites.

13. Intellectual property

Unless otherwise stated, the website wording, design and Kettering Podiatry branding may not be copied, republished or commercially reused without permission. Limited personal use, normal browser caching and linking to public pages are permitted. Third-party names and logos remain the property of their respective owners.

14. Governing law and contact

These terms are intended to be governed by the laws of England and Wales, with disputes subject to the courts that have jurisdiction under applicable law. Nothing in these terms restricts any mandatory consumer right concerning where a claim may be brought.

Questions about these terms or an appointment can be directed to Kettering Podiatry using the Contact page.
