Podiatry treatment

Orthotics Review and Referrals

Review of existing orthotics, identification of possible biomechanical concerns and appropriate multidisciplinary referral.

Podiatrist examining a patient’s foot to identify possible concerns

What the appointment may include

Suzanne can discuss existing insoles or orthotics, review how they are being used and identify signs that may benefit from further investigation. The appointment can also include general foot-care assessment and advice relevant to the patient’s current concerns.

Who may benefit

This service may be useful where an existing orthotic feels worn or uncomfortable, symptoms have changed, or a patient or carer is unsure which healthcare professional should be consulted next.

Assessment and referral

Where a specialist biomechanical assessment, new prescription device, medical investigation or another form of treatment is indicated, Suzanne will recommend referral to an appropriate podiatrist or healthcare professional.
