Home visits may suit people living with diabetes who have reduced mobility, difficulty travelling, or need support with routine foot care. An up-to-date medication list and accurate information about diabetes management, previous foot problems and recent changes are important.
Assessment and referral
New wounds, infection, marked colour or temperature changes, or sudden deterioration require prompt medical attention. Findings that need further investigation or specialist management will be referred appropriately.
